We took a successful family picture!!
That alone is a lot to be thankful for. And since it was a major accomplishment, we used it for our Chrsitmas cards. We just turned it to black & white so it wasn't quite so Thanksgiving-ey.
Like last year, we had TWO fabulous Thanksgiving get togethers and feasts ... lunch at my parents' house and dinner with daddy's family. That works out great for us! We will never go hungry with all the wonderful cooks in our families. And lucky for us, we were just requested to come and bring ourselves, which again is a major accomplishment.
The girls had a great time spending time with all their cousins. They even got to sit at the kids' table all by themselves. They were so proud and felt like big girls!
And James had a great first Thanksgiving.
He seems to love a big family, too. He does great being passed around. All that loving was enough to wear a little boy out, though. He passed out cold in the swing while we all ate. So cute!
I love watching my kids around our families. I really can't say it enough how lucky we are to have such wonderful grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides. I just love this picture of my kids with their great-grandparents, Nannie and Paw-Paw.
And this one ... because even though everyone isn't looking at the camera, the girls faces absolutely depict what they think of Nannie and Paw-Paw!
They love singing songs and giving high fives with PawPaw and trying on all Nannie's jewelry or digging in her toy closets to find treasures! Having my grandparents be able to get to know and enjoy my kiddos (and vice versa) is such a blessing.
This is our first Thanksgiving without their great-grandmother on their daddy's side. We miss Great Dohogne dearly, and this is a picture of her and Madeline from last Thanksgiving that I know we will always treasure.
So another year to be thankful for. It brought us our precious baby James and brought us so many moments of fun and laughter with our beautiful and hilarious twin daughters. My lap overfloweth with our blessings. For THAT, I am THANKFUL!
