The first day of Kindergarten ... a milestone moment indeed. Where has the time gone? These two were super excited though. They love school and love learning! So yes, it was a bittersweet but very proud day for me to get my girls ready and take them to their first official day of kindergarten. But first, pictures!!!
And of course we had to take a picture by the Montessori Kindergarten sign.
We are so blessed to have a wonderful school for our kids. It was an easy decision to leave the girls there for kindergarten, made even easier by the fact that they missed the public school cut off (August 1) by TWO days. But they were ready, and Montessori kindergarten was ready for them. We love Mrs. Turner!
I was happy for them to stay at Montessori another year. This will be the first year I have ALL of my kiddos in one place! And it will be the last year for that to happen until Elliot starts 1st grade in 2019!
Speaking of other kids, James wanted a "first day of school" too ... a REAL first day of school, he said. So even though he had been in the "White House" since June, we decided it was his first day of preschool that day when the girls started kindergarten. He was so proud of his sign! He wanted to take it to school to show to all his teachers. My beaming little boy ...
Quite a day for everyone. And this picture makes me smile ... all four of my little babies, growing up too fast! Elliot wanted to participate in pictures but since he just got his cast off the day before, he couldn't stand at all or move around very well. He could only sit with his legs in basically the same position they were while in the cast. So the others wanted him to sit in front of them to be included, and he was happy to do so.... turtle jammies, crazy bedhead hair, mismatched socks and all.
And they all had a very good first day of kindergarten and preschool. Next thing I know, they will all be in college ... at the same time!
