We are 3!

Turning 3 was a big event for these girls.  They did not just have one birthday celebration, but THREE!  No big party this year, but I do not think they minded since they got to blow out candles and eat cake and cupcakes three times and opened gifts over a span of 10 days.

Here's how the birthday morning started.  Birthday balloons and presents from Mom and Dad.  And birthday girl crowns, of course!

James found the balloons ... and decided to take off with them!

On to a birthday breakfast at IHOP (a first for them) with just the birthday girls, mommy and both grandmothers.  Yay for pancakes and waffles!.

Later, we had their first "party" with cookie cake and all their friends at Montessori School.  It was so fun kind of being a fly on the wall and watching them interact with their teachers and friends as they sang, blew out candles and sat at their little tables eating their cookie cake.

And here is what happens when you try to take a pic of the two birthday girls together after all that sugar!

On Saturday, we had fun swimming with all the family in town for the big 90th birthday party and celebrated with Dora cupcakes!  Yummy.

Then we celebrated with daddy's family last Saturday ... with their first pinata, a huge Dora cake, and more presents!

Of course James was right in the middle of them opening their presents.  And the girls are so proud of their new American Girl dolls!  And so begins the American Girl phase that no doubt will last for years to come.

Thank you everyone for making their 3rd birthday so much fun! I still can't believe how big my tiny baby girls are now!
