Elliot - 1 Month

Baby Elliot turned one month old on September 21 (over a month ago!).  Yes, I'm just now catching up to blog about it.  It was a blur ... but a fun, exciting blur.  And a loud blur.  It's amazing the noise level with four kids age 3 and under.

So baby Elliot, at 1 month old, you:

- weigh a little over 9 lbs and are wearing size 1 diapers and mostly 0-3 month clothes.  We packed up those newborn diapers and clothes earlier with you than with any of the other three.

- have TONS of beautiful hair.  That is by far the #1 comment everyone makes when they see you ... about your beautiful head full of hair.  You win the most hair award by far.  And it is so spikey and cute.

- are a loud little dude.  Your lungs work well.  When you are unhappy, we know it.  You cry til your turn purple, are wet with sweat, and start gagging.

- eat about 3 oz. every 3 hours during the day and every 3-4 hours all night.

- sleep right beside me in a bassinet in our room.  So much for getting you in your own room from early on. You are not a good sleeper yet and need me at night.

- love your pacifier!  That's partly why you need me at night ... to put your paci back in your mouth constantly.

- have already had a double ear infection and your first round of antibiotics (at 2 1/2 weeks old), been diagnosed with a milk protein allergy just like your brother and put on nutramigen (at 3 weeks old), and have been poked and prodded a bit for your kidney issue but have come through it like a champ.

 - do not like to be put down or left unattended.

- but despite all the challenges this month, you can also be the most peaceful and beautiful baby boy!
